August postcards

Only a few of us were around to swap postcards in August - it's travelling time!

For her postcard, Maz layered hand dyed and commercial fabrics, muslin and lace, left over from her work in the recent Future...past exhibition at the Palm House, Sydney Botanic Gardens. She added seed and straight stitches.

Yvonne's postcard, Moon, was inspired by the recent super moon. The background is painted fusible web on calico, with couching and laced running stitch.
Nola's postcard, Ghost Gum, #6 in her Forest series, began as a scrap of fabric from the top of her Forest challenge bag back here in 2011. It was quilters' muslin with paint and drawn lines, to which she added more paint and pencil colour. It has a running stitch edge.

We won't be swapping postcards in September - stay tuned for more postcards in October.
